Georgia State Championship series #6 – Enterprise South Nature park – Chattanooga, Tn
It is official, summer is here! Pretty nice weather overall for the second to last round of the series, yes a little on the hot side but fortunately the trails have a nice canopy the whole way around and with the fun nature of the flowing trails keeping the breeze going it wasn’t too hard on the racers. This has to be one the most grin worthy trails on the circuit as racers kept commenting on how it seemed they were almost always going downhill. Many thanks to the SORBA Chattanooga crew for having the route in great shape as always.
Daniel Albarracin was the top male racer on the day turing a 14.3 mph average over four laps but barely as his gap was a hundredth of a second over Trey Fort who kept it super close right to the end. Payton Erhard claimed the top female spot by a healthy margin with her win in the women’s junior class.
The series now moves back across the state line to finish in Newnan Georgia for a double header (Time Trial & XC race) and the series awards June 29 & 30.
