Florida Endurance series #6 – San Felasco trails – Alachua, Fl
We have been getting lucky with the weather lately and this race was no exception, although the original date had to be postponed due to rain last month. The temp’s were in the low 80’s and the course was nice and fast, ok maybe a little dry but made for fast laps and blurry trees. The great folks that steward the trails (The Friends of San Felasco) had every bit of the trail trimmed back and ready and also marshaled the event, many thanks!
Jason Marcotte rose to the top in the shorter sprint distance races (31.4 miles) and Carolyn Maddox took the women’s sprint win. In the longer marathon race it was Bob McCarty rallying near the end to get the overall while defending champ Dianna Bridges logging a win in the women’s class.
Next and final round of the FLE series is in Brooksville on May 4th hope to see everyone there!
