Georgia State Championship series #3 – Brown’s Mill Battlefield park – Newnan, Ga
Dodged another close one on the weather as rains came on Friday but stopped in time for the trails to dry out for the weekends race and produced a near perfect trail for the racers and mild temperatures and sunshine to boot! The 6.25 mile course layout was modified slightly from last years race mainly due to the new start / finish location which produced some blazing fast times.
The new layout lent itself to some close racing with about a quarter mile run up to the finish many races were tight, Allen Mcrae topped the men’s elite classes with an impressive 15 mph average and Calah Drake rose to the top of the women’s fields.
The next stop on the circuit is in Jackson for a double header on June 14th & 15th!
