Coconut Cup series #5 – Oleta River State park – North Miami, Fl

The recent South Florida cold snap finally broke just in time for the fifth round of the series in N. Miami with sunshine and mild temps ruling the weekend. The course is a challenging one for sure, despite the relative flat terrain and also a tough one on bikes as a number of riders experienced mechanicals. The Oleta Trail Blazers had the course prepped well (even power blowing the “rocky mile” section which was a big help), many thanks to the crew for making the weekend a smiler!

The course was a 6.25 mile loop through the trail system with the fastest lap of the day logged by Bob McCarty at 28.08 min but it was Mario Landivar taking the men’s elite overall best time Ariel Edens topping the women’s class.
