Florida State Championship series #3 / Coconut Cup #1 + CC Short Track – Dyer Park – WPB, Fl Caught between to hurricanes, with Hurricane Helene just recently hitting Northern Florida and beyond and Hurricane Milton forming in the Gulf we did our best to squeeze in a South Florida mountain bike race at Dyer park over the weekend. Florida State Championship series #2 – Hanna Park – Jacksonville, Fl Wet conditions were threatening all week but the weather did a quick turn around and stayed away allowing the trails to dry out in time for the weekends race. Georgia State Championship series #7 – Brown’s Mill Battlefield park – Newnan, Ga Well no two ways around it… It was HOT! The muggy summer heat that Georgia is know for was on full display over the weekend, with even a little shower to pump up the humidity on Saturday before the start of the Time Trial. However the trails were in good shape and even great shape by race time on Sunday. Georgia State Championship series #6 – Enterprise South Nature park – Chattanooga, Tn It is official, summer is here! Pretty nice weather overall for the second to last round of the series, yes a little on the hot side but fortunately the trails have a nice canopy the whole way around and with the fun nature of the flowing trails keeping the breeze going it wasn’t too hard on the racers. This has to be one the most grin worthy trails on the circuit as racers kept commenting on how it seemed they were almost always going downhill. Many thanks

Georgia State Championship series #5 – Georgia International Horse park – Conyers, Ga A nice rain on Saturday afternoon set up the Olympic course for some great condtions. At 6.8 miles the trails features lot’s of rolling terrain and a couple of pretty steep climbs that are memorable but overall it is fast paced and seems to end before you know it, making it enticing to start the next lap. Georgia State Championship series #4 – Allatoona Creek trails – Acworth, Ga Dodging wet weather has been a challenge this season and we almost got away with a dry one at Acworth, the Saturday short track was perfect and dry however overnight the rains fell and although Sunday was Sunny the course was destined to be on the wet side. The 6 mile course contains a lot of turns, rocks and roots with some rolling climbs and descents and overall the trail was in good shape but the slick roots and some muddy spots keep the riders attention throughout the

Florida Endurance series #7 –Croom Crusher – Brooksville, Fl Got pretty lucky overall with the weather as some much needed rain fell Friday night on a course that is notorious for sand but with the help of the Brooksville/Croom trail maintenance group a new layout this year helped immensely as not only was much of the sand avoided but the flow was better as well. The 27.3 mile course also took in a little more technical trail just to spice things up. Not saying it was easy as the temp’s were in the 90’s but the humidity was relatively low
