Coconut Cup series #3 + TT – Amelia Earhart Park – Hialeah, Fl

Picture perfect weather for the third round of the CC series (which was also an FSC make up) plus of course the CC time trial on Saturday. The park has a new trail crew and they put together a great trail for the racers from both the FSC & CC series. Set at 7 miles the course was fast and fun and the youth loop was one of the longer of the circuit at 2.3 miles per.

Saturday’s time trial was won by Victor Alber with a 24:26 time for one full 7 mile lap. Topping the women overall time trial times was Darla Woodall. Sunday was another all out brawl in the men’s elite class and this time it was Angel Rodriguez getting the nod and claiming his first win of the season. Darla Woodall continued to roll with a win in the women’s cat 2 class and the claim of top female on the day.

Next race is 12-15 in Ocala for the FSC final and next CC series is 1-26-25 in Virginia Key.
