Georgia State Championship series #4 – Enterprise South Trails – Chattanooga, Tn

After weeks of on and off again rains the weekend forecast in Chattanooga finally looked dry and sunny and just in time for the final round of the series. The break in the weather also gave SORBA Chattanooga club a chance to do some much needed trail maintenance which created a super smooth and fast course for the GSC racers, many thanks Sorba Chatt!

This layout is a bit on the long side with 8 mile laps but the pace is fast and although there is plenty of climbing all you seem to remember after each lap is completed is the fun downhills.

Allen Mcrae rode the most for the longest by covering 32 miles in 2:12:01 and winning the men’s 40+ cat while Karla Welsh claimed the women’s best finish of the day.

The series has been a fun one although shorter than we liked, overall we got pretty lucky by dodging most of the rain and the final was nice and dry for a change.
