Florida Endurance series #6 – Amelia Earhart park – Hialeah, Fl
Some heat but low humidity for the most part, so can’t complain about the weather on this weekend as the series took a turn South for the sixth round at Amelia park. The Amelia Trail Builder’s club had the course rolling fast with some recent work to fix some of the erosion issues and packed in some new berms. The 6.3 mile course fast and flowing but it took it’s toll as the lap count got higher, the sprint classes did 5 laps and the marathon ten.
Coming out on the top of the men’s class Bob McCarty finished way ahead and also claimed the Pemon Cycling Apparel leaders jersey while in the women’s class Bavie Grafals won a tough fight with Patricia Doring but the Pemon leaders jersey was awarded to Patricia due to her overall points standing.
The final round will be in Newberry, Fl on 6-26, don’t worry it’s gonna be hot and fun at the same time!
