Florida Gravel Grinder series #3 – Seminole Forest – Eustis, Fl

Great turnout for the second to last round of the FGG series at Seminole Forest just North of Orlando. Weather was a taste of summer with temp’s in the upper 80’s and while last years race was wet this one was dry and bit dusty for those stuck in the back of the pack. The 16.8 mile loop which features a variety of views and surfaces was traveled twice by the sprint classes and four times by the marathon groups and for the third race in a row Owen Shott has taken the win in the men’s long distance class and for the second week now it has been defending champ Valerie Rosso topping the women’s marathon racers. The Field’s Auto Group Fast lap cash went to Leonardo Nery in the men’s 40+ and Nicole Blessing walked home with the women’s fastest lap time for $25 each.
