Georgia State Championship series #4 – Talking Rock trails – Talking Rock, Ga
Absolutely beautiful weather for the first race ever at this awesome location, the trails brought out a lot of grins from the racers as the 7.5 mile loop had a little bit of everything needed for a great XC race, fast flowing trails, raging downhill’s, tempered climbs and a fast run to the finish.
Joe Bethay and Loretta Simpson claimed the top spots for the male and female divisions respectively with closely fought races in each.
Many thanks to the Cartecay mountain bike High School team for helping at the road crossings and parking and to the Southeastern Trust for Parks and Land for allowing us to have some race fun on the property!
Next round will be at Allatoona Creek trails near Acworth on May 20th & 21st, see you there!
