South Eastern Regional Championship / Georgia State Championship  #2 – Georgia International Horse Park – conyers, Ga

 It was a tail of two weather days, Saturday (the day before the race) was all about rain but Sunday was a perfect day to race as the course was in awesome shape and the competition was thick. The 7 mile course dried up quick overnight and had the racers putting down some fast lap times right from the start and there was a strong mix of riders from all over the region especially in the cat 1 classes. It was Nick Mackie who stole the show in the men’s expert class and Simone Berger came out on top in the women’s expert both faced strong fields and a demanding track. Nick Mackie now holds the SERC leaders jersey and he along with Amy Talbot will carry the jerseys to the next round in Winder, Ga.
