Florida Endurance series #5 – Hialeah Hustle – Hialeah, Fl
Starting to get warm again, it wasn’t too hot but it was getting there as temps were pushing the ninties and it was obvious to the racers that heat and hydration was an important factor for the day. The course was on the dry side and was set for a 7.5 mile loop around this fun and flowing trail system which set up a four lap affair for the sprint classes and an eight times around for the marathon racers.
In the long distance race the winner of the men’s class was Bob McCarty holding a 15.5 mph pace and finishing in 3:52:11 while in the Sprint or short (if you call 30 miles short) races it was Alberto Maracano taking a close win (less than 3 seconds) and it was Patricia Doring topping the women’s field.
The FLE leaders jerseys leaders are Dianna Bridges and the new men’s leader is Gilberto Araujo going into round six at the Hammer Head in Ocala on 4-21-24.
