Coconut Cup series #7 – Quiet Waters park – Deerfield Beach, Fl

It was a unseasonable cool start to the morning of the seventh round of the series at the popular Quiet Waters park and the recent rains along with the outstanding efforts of the Quiet Waters trail crew made the course amazing to ride and race on. A new fun addition to the kids trail was also well received, many thanks to the crew!

The 6.75 mile layout was a good mix of techie sections followed by flow and open areas to allow for some passing and the lap times were blistering fast. Speaking of fast laps it was the overall winner Marco Carrie laying down the fastest in the men’s expert class by posting a 23:01:55 and on the last of his four laps. Jennifer Moos topped a strong field in the women’s expert to take the win.

This race was also the final round of the CC series which meant the overall awards would be handed out. Along with all of the champions and top three awardees in each class there were also special awards that would be presented and they were as follows… Most Improved Rider = Mario Landivar / Most Improved Female = Gabriela Crespo / Most Improved Junior = Emanuel Rial. Congratulations to all and once again many thanks to all of the riders, sponsors and volunteers that made the series a success!
