Florida State Championship series #5 – San Felasco Trails – Alachua, Fl
More nice fall weather was upon central Florida this past weekend for round five of the series, the trail could have used rain but overall can’t complain about the conditions as they were fast and flowing which was a bit of a contrast to last week’s techie Vortex trails. Many thanks to the Friends of San Felasco for prepping the trails and working the event!
Close racing was the order of the day with many class win’s decided by split seconds, this included the men’s elite class with Ryan Woodall (five in a row now) narrowly getting the nod over Antonio Guzman. Simone Berger claimed the women’s top class making it four out of five for the season so far. Ryan Woodall and Simone Berger continued to carry the Pemon Leaders jerseys into the next round in WPB.
Team Leroy’s Lynx racked up a bunch of points this weekend as well as they retain a firm grip on the team competition.
The Gear Bicycle sales E MTB series race was won by Kelly Jones in the women’s and Tim Zimmerman in the men’s with close competition in both.
Next event is a double header (ST & XC + CC+ E MTB) 11-5/6-22 at Dyer park West Palm Beach!
