Florida Gravel Grinder series #2 – Three Forks Grind – Palm Bay, Fl Round two of Scarbourgh Bicycle Accident Law Florida State Championship Gravel Grinder series presented by Trek Land o’ Lakes series headed to the levees of the Palm Bay area under favorable weather and course conditions. The course this year had a slightly different layout as the two way traffic section was replaced by a grass / gravel surface that changed the dynamics of the race a bit by slowing the pace and providing for more wind and shade for the racers. Each race loop was 14.9 miles

Coconut Cup series #6 – Markham park – Sunrise, Fl Just a few weeks ago iguanas were falling from the trees due to the cold but not this weekend, instead the series was treated with a picture perfect South Florida scenario with mild temps, partly cloudy skies and super fun trails. The Markham park trail crew had a 6.75 mile course ready for the riders and worked hard before, during and after to make the whole event a success. Racing kicked off at 8:30am with a large contingent of youth racers on a short but challenging 2.2 mile loop while

Florida Endurance series #2 – 12 Hours of Santos + E Vortex – Vortex trails – Ocala, Fl Fantastic weather for the 2026 edition of the annual 12 Hours of Santos which is also part of the Florida Endurance series, we landed right in between two cold spells and you couldn’t have asked for much better conditions to race for 12 hours on a mountain bike. Friday the weekend of racing kicked off with a romp’um stomp’um E bike race that lasted two laps of the 10.2 mile course that would be also used on Saturday. Evan Stalzer claimed the

Scarbourgh Bicycle Accident law Florida Gravel Grinder series #1 + TT#1 – Cary Forest Grind – Bryceville, Fl Amazing weather for the opening round of Scarbourgh Bicycle Accident Law Florida State Gravel Grinder series presented by Trek Land o’ Lakes series. Cary Forest located in North Florida is a great location for gravel riding and racing and we were very glad we were able to make the switch from the originally scheduled weekend that was two weeks earlier because it would have been absolutely brutally cold conditions. So the riders were instead treated with low seventies and cloudy skies with

Coconut Cup series #5 – Oleta River State park – North Miami, Fl The recent South Florida cold snap finally broke just in time for the fifth round of the series in N. Miami with sunshine and mild temps ruling the weekend. The course is a challenging one for sure, despite the relative flat terrain and also a tough one on bikes as a number of riders experienced mechanicals. The Oleta Trail Blazers had the course prepped well (even power blowing the “rocky mile” section which was a big help), many thanks to the crew for making the weekend a

Florida Endurance series #1 + ST – Loyce Harpe park – Lakeland, Fl The series is off to a great start with super weather and a strong turnout. The Ridge Riders club had the trails rocking as well with a 9.8 mile fast and flowing trail and groomed to the max, many thanks to the trail crew! The weekend started off with the series short track bonus race and it was Jayro Lopez taking a close win in the men’s overall and Diana Bridges was the winner in the women’s overall ST. Sunday Caleb Adam put up a good fight

Florida State Championship series #8 – Santos Trails – Ocala, Fl Great wrap up for the series, cool in the morning and mild sunshine during most of the day, couldn’t have asked for a better weather setting. The Santos trails have been around since the early 90’s and despite some revisions along the way it still has that old school feel to it in many sections, which is to say tight technical and busy. The loop laid out for this years race featured many of those “techy” (or is it “techie”) type sections and the buzz was that it required

Coconut Cup series #4 + TT – Almelia Earhart Park – Hialeah, FlIt was a busy weekend in South Florida for mtb racers as both the Coconut cup and the FSC series had lot’s of points up for grabs in Hialeah. The Saturday race was the CC series Time Trial and it can also be used as a make up for the FSC bonus rounds so that meant there were plenty of riders that made the trip down from North and Central Fl. Sunday’s XC was also paying points for both series so there was a lot on the line

Florida State Championship series #7 + Coconut Cup #3 – Caloosahatchee Trails – Alva, Fl The FSC series seems to be moving at lightning speed as round seven is now in the books and also the CC series is now up to round three. It was another very pleasant weekend for the racers of both series weather wise with mild temperatures in the low eighties and fast dry trail conditions. The Florida Mudcutters club did a great job prepping the trails and helping with the event, many thanks to the crew. This course was similar to last weeks San Felasco
