Florida Gravel Grinder series #4 – Cary Forest Grind – Bryceville, Fl The second annual Florida Gravel Grinder series wrapped up at a new venue near Jacksonville and although it was a hot one and tough one (even without elevation) it was well received. Georgia State Championship series #5 – Allatoona Creek trails – Acworth, Ga Saturday was bright and dry as the first wave of the short track racers hit the 1.5 mile mix of single track and open trail, the yellow wave were scheduled for 4 laps and it was Jeremy Brock who took the top men’s spot and Tina Morris ruled the women’s overall. Georgia State Championship series #4 – Dauset trails – Jackson, Ga Middle of May now and the weather has been awesome, after a cold start to the series it is nice to feel the warmth but we have the feeling it is going to get really hot for the next few rounds. The trails were awesome also as the trail crew at Dauset have been working extra hard at some major reroutes and expansion with the “Pine mtn” trail as an excellent example, it nearly doubled in length and is much more flowy and smooth now. Florida Endurance series #6 – Amelia Earhart park – Hialeah, Fl Some heat but low humidity for the most part, so can’t complain about the weather on this weekend as the series took a turn South for the sixth round at Amelia park. The Amelia Trail Builder’s club had the course rolling fast with some recent work to fix some of the erosion issues and packed in some new berms. The 6.3 mile course fast and flowing but it took it’s toll as the lap count got higher, the sprint classes did 5 laps and the marathon ten. Coming out

Florida Gravel Grinder series #3 – 3 Forks – Palm Bay, Fl First day of May and we could not have asked for better race conditions for the third round of the FGG, temps in the 80’s, course was smooth, fast and very little wind (at a location that is notorious for wind). A different layout this year saw the racers heading south for 15 miles, turning around and then going back north for a total of 30 miles each leg. Georgia State Championship series #3 – Ft Yargo State Park – Winder, Ga Amazing weather and beautiful scenery sums up round three at Ft Yargo. The course was a little longer this year at 12 miles and featured a few more climbing sections but as always the trails keep you grinning the whole way. Georgia State Championship series #2 – Georgia International Horse Park – Conyers, Ga It felt like two different days but it wasn’t, a cold 30 degrees and frost to start the day and then a beautiful sunny 70 degrees by mid afternoon and in between was perfect mtb racing conditions for both the trail and the racers. The 7 mile course which was the site of the first ever mountain bike competition in the Olympics in 1996 is always a special challenge with the numerous ups and downs and ripping fast single track. Florida Endurance series #5 – Landbridge Trails – Ocala, Fl The weather was playing games with us, Friday was supposed to be rainy all day but it was sunny and nice, Saturday the storms came and with all of the rain and wind there was real concern about the condition of the trails but after a lengthy full check of the 25 mile loop all was clear and the conditions would prove to be prime for Sunday’s race. Coconut Cup #7 – Oleta River State Park – N. Miami, Fl Another perfect day in South Florida with temperatures in the high seventies and lot’s of sunshine for the final round of the 21-22 Coconut Cup season. This course provides some unique challenges as there may be little to no elevation but numerous turns, roots and rocks keep the racers on their toes.
